Lost Dog FOUND! With Thanks To All!

Puzzle, home safe and sound! Photo by Family Of Puzzle, 17 Jul 2012

The family of Puzzle, a dog lost at Gas Works Park last week, sent notice that she has returned, safe and sound.  They also shared their thanks to those who helped in the search.  “It does seem like everyone in the area has been looking out for her,” reported Puzzle’s mom on Tuesday, July 17th.

Of course, Puzzle wasn’t found – she came walking in the door to her house, roughly 1.5 miles from where she was lost.  Her mom had been leaving the back door open, and sleeping on the couch, and about 100 hours after disappearing, Puzzle walked in on her own power – a little dirty but otherwise okay.

Thank you to everyone who kept an eye out for Puzzle – and to anyone that may have helped her during her accidental adventure!

On Sunday, July 22nd, from 2p – 4p, the music in the Sculpture Garden of History House continues to play.  This week, enjoy the sounds of Percy Hilo and of The Lost River String Band, for FREE, in a cool, relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere – before and after touring the Fremont Sunday Market.

Singer-songwriter Percy Hilo has performed his original American Folk songs around the Northwest for over 30 years, at coffeehouses, festivals, community events and many worthwhile benefits, as well as around-the-world.  He believes in sing-a-longs, and tempering social concern with humor.

The Lost River String Band consists of ‘Hanging Chad’ Van Dam on stand-up bass, ‘Sleepy Joe’ Rodriguez on mouth harp & small percussion, and Joe Calhoun on guitar and providing vocals.  Together, they proudly play folk, country blues, and bluegrass, and sing songs about moonshine and rascals you wouldn’t want your daughter dating.

Come listen to some of Puget Sound’s best acoustic musicians, all for free – although donations and tips are appreciated.  This eighth annual Music In The Sculpture Garden concert series has been produced by John Nordstrand, and provided by generous support from area businesses and organizations.
