Ship Canal Water Quality Project work has already begun, in Ballard, near 24th Ave NW & Shilshole Ave NW, as SPU removes on-site contaminated soil, installs water, electrical, gas, drainage, and wastewater utilities, and replaces the 100-year-old pier with a more durable pedestrian pier.  SPU has information on the Ballard work on a specific website.
