The Pilot Seattle Bike Share Program, that has the green, orange and yellow rental bikes parked all over the neighborhood, is accepting survey input before April 20th.  Please click here to find a link to the survey.

Seattle was the first major North American city to pilot a program that permits private, free-floating bike share operating city-wide.  Share your thoughts, and help make the program better for all.

The bike share companies set their own service areas, and many cover the entire city.  The new bike share system, unlike the previous program called Pronto, is a private marketplace that does not include any capital investment by the city.  The bike share companies obtain a permit (from the city,) supply their own bikes, and compete for business.

The free-floating bike share program, and the permits, are being managed by the Seattle Department of Transportation, which collected bike share data through December 2017.  The city is now in the process of evaluating the data, and decisions are expected to be made about an on-going bike share program in Spring 2018.

For more information on the bike share program, visit the SDOT website.  There also find contact information for the Program Manager, to give in input beyond the survey.
