On Monday, July 28th from 7p – 9:30p, hear a new play, called ‘Winter Harvest’ by John Ruoff, and participate in a critical discussion, hosted by Playwrights’ Theater.  Held in the DownStage Theater, this pay-what-you-can event gives attendees a chance to enjoy a dramatic reading, and become a part of the writing process.

This workshop will review ‘Winter Harvest’, about a missing 5-year-old child in 1956.  As the police search for the child and investigate a member of the family about the possible crime, the father’s estranged brother arrives and the pregnant mother deals with a forbidden romantic history.  As the crisis exposes secret truths, the family will either pull together or tear apart as the search reaches its conclusion.

After the dramatic reading of this new work by John Ruoff, the cast and audience can share their insights on the piece with the playwright during a facilitated feedback discussion.  Come help develop and improve a new work for the stage, and enjoy an unusual glimpse into the creative theater process on July 28th.
