Call For Artists’ Contributions To The Portable Works Collection

The Seattle Office of Arts & Culture will be expanding the Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) Portable Works Collection, and they have called for art works that represent the experience of communities of color, of immigrant and of refugees.  Professional artists, residing in Washington, Oregon, British Columbia, Montana, Idaho or Alaska are invited to submit images of 2D artworks (abstract, pictorial, figurative, representational, etc.) available for purchase.  Artworks may reflect social issues including environmental, ecological, and cultural heritage.

Many different types of media will be considered for purchase.  The maximum artwork measurement is 48” x 48” x 5”, and needs to be able to be moved by one person.  Artists may submit up to 16 images of available works, and multiple artworks by an individual artist may be purchased.
