After 15 years in Fremont, Literacy Source has outgrown their space and will be moving in the New Year to a larger, new learning center being fixed-up in Lake City at 125th St.

Having more room will allow Literacy Source to reach more students and increase access to basic education for low-income adults and immigrants.  Literacy Source will be able to do more to ensure that all adults have the basic literacy skills needed to reach their goals.

For now, the new space needs to be fixed into a warm, inviting home – where Literacy Source can continue to provide the classes and tutoring that they do in Fremont.

You can help with funding the update of the Lake City space, and building childcare facilities for students’ children.  Literacy Source needs to raise $100,000 by the end of 2015, and they hope you can help.

Please help spread the word of the ‘Reach More, Teach More’ fundraising campaign.  Contact Lynn Livesley, Literacy Source Executive Director, at lynnl@literacysource.org, if you have any questions or ideas about funding.  Also, be sure to check the Literacy Source Facebook page for the most up-to-date information on the upcoming move.
