Westlake Cycle Track Construction Update

The City of Seattle Department of Transportation continues to work on building a cycle track in the parking area along the Westlake corridor, including striping and asphalt pouring.

Phase two work, from Railroad park to Diamond Marina, permanently closed a driveway, to consolidate traffic into the area, and has been asphalted and striped.  Phase three construction has begun, with tree removal and curb demolition work from Lake Union Park to Galer Street.  Phase three includes temporary closure of another driveway – this one at the north end near Diamond Marine – requiring those who need to enter and exit this area to use an access road just south of the Fremont Bridge.

Temporary closure of the Westlake driveway near Diamond Marine will require use of the access road near the Fremont Bridge. Map provided by SDOT
