On Thursday, December 1st, at the TK Lofts in Pioneer Square find a very special, and serious, retrospective show and sale of the art of Roger Wheeler.

Fremont’s official historian, Wheeler created much of his fantastical and charming art works here at the Center of the Universe, many of those while living in the legendary Fremont Foundry.  Nearly 50 of these unique and creative pieces of sculpture, painting and mask will be on-display in the gallery at TK Lofts.

Currently, Wheeler is in the midst of a major health crisis that could require long-time assisted medical care.  This retrospective show and sale will raise money to help defer some of his expenses.  Consider stopping by during the First Thursday Art Walk on Dec 1st and seeing what kinds of gifts and collectibles you could use for your own decorating!

If you can’t make it to TK Lofts during First Thursday, stop by the Vandenbrink Community Room there on Saturday, Dec 3rd or Sunday, Dec 4th from Noon – 5p.

And please, if you know some of the hundreds of people who Wheeler inspired during his decades in Fremont, at the Fremont Arts Council, the Fremont Sunday Market, and around the ‘hood, could you help spread the word?
