The Fremont Arts Council (FAC,) which produces the Fremont Solstice Parade, is in urgent need for storage for its float bodies and craft supplies.

The FAC lost its lease on the current outdoor storage area they use for parade float bases and a storage container full of art materials.  By June 2017, the FAC must find a free (or almost free) storage location where they can relocate the materials, after the Solstice Parade on June 17th.

The FAC maintains half a dozen float bodies, available to volunteers, for building the Fremont Solstice Parade each year. Photo by K. Lindsay Laney, May '11

Without a new location, somewhere in Fremont or nearby, the FAC may have to dispose of the materials they’ve used for over two decades of parading, and they may not have float bodies for the 2018 Fremont Solstice Parade.

The FAC needs a minimum of 2,500 square feet of storage area, outdoors is fine, and they can provide their own fencing.  If you have this available, for free or almost free, for a local 501(c)3 arts non-profit, or know someone who might, please contact fac@fremontartscouncil.org or 206/547-7400.  Please help spread the word and create a storage miracle for the FAC!
