On Saturday, June 3rd, from 11a – 4p, explore the Fremont Baptist Church building, from the sub-basement to the peaks of the pipe organ.  In celebration of 125 years of Fremont Baptist, the landmark building will be opened to the public – and the public is invited to help build 125 hygiene kits for the less fortunate in our community.

Features of church building tours include:

  • The 100+ pipes of the Estey Theater Pipe Organ, installed in 1924, after being purchased from the Bremerton Dream Theater.
  • The spooky sub-basement, with exploration of the foundations of the original wooden church building, and looks at the ancient, antique boiler
  • Behind the sanctuary, and up in the ‘heavens’

Also, during the Open House, the Fremont Baptist Church will have its Orange Booth set up with snacks and refreshments available for small donations.  This Orange Booth has been distributing refreshments at the Fremont Street Fair since the event first began in 1972.  On June 3rd, visitors can purchase a snack and beverage – and give a donation to support the FamilyWorks Food Bank.
