The Fremont First Friday Art Walk offers an opportunity to stroll one of the most vibrant and, lately, most controversial communities in Seattle.  From 6p – 9p on Friday, September 1st, get your art on as you wander the ‘hood and check out original art – both in our FFF Art Walk venues and out on our street corners.

The gals at Portage Bay Goods have booked abstract artist Melanie Biehle for an Endless Summer Art Walk.  Check out the colorful creations by Biehle, and meet her, while exploring this unique, creative gift shop for an extra dose of summer vibes, before Biehle’s art and summer disappear from the Center of the Universe.  (Find more details on the Facebook event page.)

Seattle Monster Attack! by Eli Wolff will be on-display with other original works in September 2017 at Frame Up Studios.

Frame-Up Studios has invited Eli Wolff back to Fremont to display more of his original, whimsical paintings in the gallery of our longest operating retail shop.  Wolff is constantly creating new works, and he’s promised to bring some along in September.  Frame Up also has expanded its offerings, now offering more digital printing services that help avoid the hurdles and pitfalls of quality printing.  Ask about framing and printing during the Art Walk.

Visit the FFF website for more participating venues in September, but have a look around while Art Walking!  Be sure to stop by Essenza and/or Burnt Sugar to pick up your copy of the new book, ‘Will A Dragon Fit Under The Fremont Bridge?’ by local authors Kathleen Dannenhold & Robyn Campbell.  Also, Fremocentrist.com has heard that there might be new art at the Fremont Lenin Statue.  Stop by during Fremont First Friday Art Walk and see if it has arrived!
