This Friday, July 3rd, start the holiday weekend with a stroll of art, and interesting venues, with Fremont’s First Friday Art Walk from 6p – 9p.
On Monday, July 6th, at 6:30p, the Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library will host another in its quarterly series of live poetry readings by active, often-published poets. In partnership with Floating Bridge Press, the Fremont Branch offers this free evening of literary outreach – with readings and a question-and-answer period with the poets.
Kvichak Marine Industries, a Vigor Company and Fremont-based boat builder, recently won a contract to design and build a 48’ all-aluminum foil assisted research catamaran for the King County Environmental Laboratory.
The June Board Meeting of the Fremont Chamber of Commerce had a great turnout, and important updates on activities this advocacy organization has taken an interest in.
The North Seattle Industrial Association (NSIA) met on June 23rd for its last meeting of the summer. They discussed, as usual, the needs of the industrial, manufacturing, and maritime businesses of North Seattle – particularly the ability to move freight.

n June 27th & 28th, at Salsa Con Todo, Joshua Sturgeon will be offering a weekend of lessons in Rockin’ West Coast Swing.
Last Monday, on June 22nd, at the Fremont Neighborhood Council (FNC) monthly meeting the board of this non-profit advocacy organization unanimously voted to spend $3,000 from its treasury to pay for decorating three more signal boxes.
