Hear what the candidates have to say on some of the most crucial issues of our time.

Tonight, Seattle Mayoral Candidates will debate on housing and homelessness.  The candidates, Jenny Durkan and Cary Moon, will speak on these crucial issues in debate format, with The Seattle Times livestreaming the debate on Facebook.

At 7p, the Seattle Times Facebook page (click here) will livestream the event, with Solid Ground mirroring the feed on its Facebook page as well (click here.)

Hear about the plans of each of the candidates to address the issues of affordable housing and homelessness, and the work each has done so far.  On November 7th, Seattle voters will choose a new Executive to lead our city, and it is vitally important that we all make the best decision we can.

Please tune in on Tuesday, September 12th at 7p to hear this debate.

As of midday today, following the fifth claim of sexual abuse, Ed Murray has announced his resignation, at 5p on Wednesday, September 13th, as Mayor of Seattle.  (click here for the New York Times article)  The name of his successor, to serve out the remainder of his term, remains in doubt although a member of the Seattle City Council is expected to fill the seat.

This news makes the need for a strong leader to take the mayoral helm following the election even more important.  All Seattle voters must exercise their right and vote wisely on November 8th.  Please consider the candidates carefully during the two months of the campaign remaining.
