- Light-Bodied Red – To compliment, or supplement, the weird cranberry ‘sauce’ that comes out of the car without any alteration to the tinny shape.
- Champagne – To consume in celebration while assembling the feast, and to lubricate what might be an awkward social setting. Congratulate everyone on making it through most of 2021 – all the way to Thanksgiving!! Cheers! Oh, and everything tastes better with Champagne.

In Seattle, voters will be deciding on a new Mayor, a City Councilperson, and a City Attorney. Voters also will decide whether or not they want to retain our King County Executive and a City Councilperson. In nearly every race, there are significant differences between the candidates – and there will be significant differences in the ways these people make decisions for our community.
Please, vote by November 2nd, and help determine the direction you want our leaders to take us, our city, our county and our region.

On Tuesday, September 28th at 5:30p, a fundraiser will be held for Seattle City Council Candidate Sara Nelson, a Fremont business owner and community supporter.
In Upper Fremont, at Infiniti Real Estate & Development, join with others concerned about the state of Seattle, and the need for a new face in Position #9 of the Seattle City Council. An At-Large Position, this is one of two Councilmembers who represent all of Seattle. Attend this gathering to find out how Sara Nelson plans to represent all of Seattle, from her background helping found Fremont Brewing, working for former Seattle City Councilmembers, and raising children in North Seattle. Nelson wants to provide the missing voice of neighborhood businesses, and help all of us get real and measurable results from our leaders.
Join in at this open-air gathering to hear about Nelson, and her plans for a positive, practical plan for Seattle. Please RSVP to finance@saraforcitycouncil.com if you want to attend – if you can wear a face mask during the event. RSVP with the date of the Fundraiser in Fremont at Infiniti Real Estate.

- Esters Enoteca – Right now, vintage, LED lighted shadow boxes are on-display. Created by Gary Polinsky, these boxes frame mirrored glass sandblasted with traditional Native American imagery. Polinsky carved the images by thinking ‘backwards’ about the shapes and taking up to seven layers of glass off in places, using an Xacto knife and his fingers. The shadowboxes are for sale with proceeds going to support the work of the Fremont Arts Council.

- Down Under Gallery – First Friday will be the official opening of the latest show by Gallery favorite Sarah Weathers of Vibrant Poppy. Startling colors burst forth from the dark canvas as the floral photos that Weathers has taken around South Lake Union and Fremont are presented in her new show, ‘Out of Darkness.’ A self-taught photographer, this artist also creates with yarn and needles – a collection of hand-crafted are also presented amidst the photos of Vibrant Poppy.
- Portage Bay Goods – Works by Kristian Winnie are on-display at the Procrastinator’s gift shop, and on-line (click here.) The vibrant, underwater world of this multi-skilled artist can be explored through his paintings. Kristian’s technique is a casserole of life’s events and lessons learned, which he paints as he lives, in full color.
