On Saturday, June 23rd, from 2:30p – 6:30p, the volunteer-matching non-profit, The World Is Fun (TWIF), will be hosting a ‘Know Your Neighborhood’ event at Shawn O’Donnell’s In Fremont.

Seattle is full of unique and interesting neighborhoods, and TWIF created the ‘Know Your Neighborhood’ to take participants on an adventure through them.  During this interactive scavenger hunt, participants will use SmartPhones to collect codes, photos and more as they learn, with their team, about the history and quirks of our area.  Teams will solve puzzles, and after collecting all the correct codes, they will be entered into a drawing to win great prizes from Fremont businesses.

Incorporated in 1889 as an independent city, Fremont citizens have always marched to the beat of their own drummers.

Since the 1970s, the neighborhood has used art for urban renewal and gentrification, and as a result we’ve got surprises tucked into every corner of what our Rocket Scientists discovered, at a night out at the bar, is the actual Center of the Universe.  Get to know more about what Fremont is all about, during this TWIF ‘Know Your Neighborhood.’

Gather at Shawn O’Donnell’s, on your own or with your team of 4 – 6, for this fundraising event for The World Is Fun.  Cost is $15 in advance ($10 for TWIF members,) and $25 at the door, for the scavenger hunt and a party, at the start and the finish, at Shawn O’Donnell’s.  Find out more on TWIF website.
