Add-A-Ball Arcade Brings Pinball To Fremont, And Seattle!

Have you found Fremont’s newest hidden treasure?  This Fall, Brad Johnsen – with business partner Travis Echert – realized his dream and converted ADD Motorworks into Add-A-Ball Amusements, Fremont’s first pinball arcade!

This 21+ establishment features pinball, arcade games, vintage candy machines, and a microwave popcorn vending machine.  “I think that Baby Pac-Man represents what we are,” explained Echert, a unique machine that incorporates pinball into the arcade game of Pac-Man, with a flat surface, “where you can set your beer.”

While you can buy bottled and canned beer here, this place is where Fremonsters can retreat to play games – including a vintage variation on foosball, a two-sided arcade game with a hacked version of Super Mario Bros. (Mario looks like Surfer Dude,) and an Elton John Capt. Fantastic pinball game.

Tucked away in an underground space your boss will never find, find your way to Add-A-Ball between 11a and 11p seven days a week.  Look for sandwich boards at North 36th Street and Phinney Avenue North to direct you – or ask at Flair Taco or Piece Of Mind for a hint!

And save me a game!
