On Friday, August 28th at 5p, History House of Greater Seattle will suspend operations at its current location, at the corner of Troll Ave N & N 34th St/Patches Place.

History House will be relocating to a new facility nearby this fall.  The new address, and information on the reopening, will be posted on the HistoryHouse.org website.

The current location of the neighborhood museum is one of several buildings on its block slated for demolition.  Carquest has already relocated to a new location, at 9220 Greenwood Ave N, where it operates under its new name – Advance Auto Parts.  The other businesses – Bikram Yoga, Salsa Con Todo, Dragonfly Holistic Healing, Café Turko, and Milstead & Co Coffee – will also be moving, but so far everyone has found a new space within the Fremont neighborhood.

A development proposed for 744 N 34th St will require the relocation of a handful of Fremont businesses. Artist rendering of the planned development.

This site will be redeveloped for a new mixed commercial/office building, including public spaces, parking and art.  Read more on the proposed plans from the last public meeting on its design, as covered in Fremocentrist.com/news.

Keep following Fremocentrist.com for more information on the new locations for all these favorite Fremont businesses, and their plans for continuing business operations.
