Last Saturday, August 29th, in spite of blustery winds, occasional rain and a power outage across half of Fremont, several dozen hardy souls played the Fremont Chamber of Commerce Universe Wiffle Ball Classic, and raised money for the Chamber Community Grants program.
The teams took the weather in stride, and the fun in play. Members of the B.F. Day Elementary School team talked about recruiting ringers next year from the fifth grade class. Fremont Health Club and Fremont Analytical played a spirited game against the wind as much as each other, while spectators held up the outfield fences to keep them from blowing over in the gales.
After a day of good sports and lots of laughs, Fremocentrist.com is proud to announce the winners of the 2015 Fremont Universe Wiffle Ball Classic tournament:
