This weekend the Hallows Church reaches out to the larger community of Fremont to a time of goodwill, inviting all of us to build community and help others in need.

On Friday, November 27th, from 11a – 1:30p, Hallows Church will hold a free Turkey Bowl on the Upper Playfields at B.F. Day Elementary School.  Bring your Thanksgiving day leftovers, share a meal and then participate in (or just watch others) running off extra pounds with pick-up flag football games.

Along with this, gather up your cold weather gear (e.g. gloves, hats, sleeping bags, blankets, pillow cases, towels, boots, warm socks, underwear, and coats,) to donate to those in need.  Rain is picking up, weather is growing colder, and demand for gear is high among the homeless and tent city residents.  If you have anything that you would feel comfortable using, but no longer need, could you donate to the Hallows Church Cold Weather Supplies Drive?  Give aid to others, to help them keep warmer and drier.

Any items you would use, but don't need, can be donated to the Hallows Church Winter Gear Drive. Photo by ConDesign & Pixabay

Drop off your cold weather items at Hallows Church (in the Fremont Baptist Church building,) from 4p – 7:30p on Sunday, November 29th, and through December.  If you have questions on donations, or donation times, contact Austin Briggs at austin.c.briggs@gmail.com

As for the Turkey Bowl, no RSVP is required.  Come out and enjoy some fellowship, family-fun and flag football, with others from our community on Friday, November 27th.
