Come Give Input & Action Ideas To The Fremont Neighborhood Council

Come join the FNC, and advocate for area residents.
Come join the FNC, and advocate for area residents.

Fremont residents, and all Fremont Neighborhood Council (FNC) members, are encouraged to attend the June 27th FNC meeting, starting at 7p at Doric Lodge #92.  Throughout the meeting, our community will be given opportunities to learn about area projects and give feedback on what we want for Fremont, and our Neighborhood Council.

In addition to brief reports on the most recent neighborhood clean-up, organized by Patrick Place residents, the Fremont Solstice celebrations, and the Neighborhood Night Out on August 2nd, the FNC will be discussing:

  • The Seattle Draft Freight Master Plan – after a preview at the May FNC meeting, hear from Seattle Department of Transportation staffer Gabriela Vega about the Plan, and give your input.  Public comment on the Draft ends July 8th, and the Draft can be reviewed on the Transportation website.
  • Potential FNC Projects In 2016 – Give feedback on which proposed project on a list already created the FNC should dedicate time, energy and funds – and where you might be interested in volunteering.  Come see what we can do to keep Fremont fabulous!
  • Election Season – Voice your ideas on how the FNC might get involved in getting the vote out through the August primary and the November election.  The FNC Board will be considering an endorsement on the Housing Levy vote.
  • H.A.L.A. – Hear more about these important potential policy changes, and getting the word out to your neighbors about land use changes, and housing opportunities, under the Housing Affordability & Livability Agenda.

The FNC wants to hear from residents, and to advocate on their behalf.  If you haven’t already joined the Fremont Neighborhood Council, visit the FNC website and find out how inexpensive – and enlightening – membership can be.  Also, learn more about the work of the FNC through the Facebook page.

See you on June 27th!
