Due to continued snow and ice on roads, garbage collection has been cancelled for Friday, December 31st, with no plans for a delay to Saturday. According to Seattle Public Utilities, all garbage collection is scheduled to resume next week, beginning on Monday, January 3rd.  All missed residential customers are permitted to set out double their normal amount of garbage, recycling, and compost on their regular collection day for no additional charge.  This permission extends to recycling collection, even if this was not a customer’s typical week of recycling collection.  All customers are encouraged to put out all their containers by 7a to ensure they are collected.
