On Wednesday, July 27th, a public hearing will be held, before the Seattle City Council’s Committee on the Built Environment (COBE) which generally begin at 9:30a. This will concern six requested modifications of development standards for the remodel of Fire Station #9, located at 3829 Linden Avenue North.
The Director of the Department of Planning and Development (DPD) has recommended approval of the facility and approval of the modifications. These six modifications can be read, in detail, on the permit website, but they concern:
- allowing cisterns for rainwater collection in a side setback
- a 7’ 1” reduction in the front setback
- expansion of the structure depth by 10%, or 11’ 8”
- expansion of the structure width by 16” 8’
- allowing a flag pole 1’ 10” from the front property line
- expansion of the structure height by 3’ to the top of the roof, 4’ for the stair penthouse
