This Sunday, July 31st, from 2p – 4p, will be the final installment of the 7th Season of free, open-to-the-public acoustic concerts at History House (790 N 34th St.) Music In The Sculpture Garden has provided a showcase for fine acoustic musicians – and an excellent opportunity for audiences to get in out of the sun (or rain) in the covered courtyard, and enjoy quality entertainment. Grab this last chance to kick-back and be entertained!
This week, the featured artists are:
- Watch The Sky features singer-songwriters performing on the Bodhran, Dumbek, percussion, whistle and guitar music of Celtic, sea songs, music hall and purely original origin. “We love to bring great old songs to life and to bring new ones into our world,” reports members of Watch The Sky.
- Joe Wagner, also a singer-songwriter, has been playing the guitar since he was sixteen. He find the soul in a song, whether it’s Cat Stevens, Moody Blues, Mark Knopfler or Wagner’s own, original compositions. He plays music that reflects life.
While donations & tips for the musicians are appreciated, Music In The Sculpture Garden remains free to attend, and welcomes families. Also, find series producer John Nordstrand and let him know you are a Fremonster, and receive a piece of free candy to enjoy while tapping your toe and swaying to the excellent music!
