On November 14th, at 8a, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce will host an informative meeting on how businesses and schools can connect to create tomorrow’s workforce today. Held at Adobe’s Fremont Campus (801 N 34th St,) this will be a tremendous opportunity for learning how we can get involved in our schools to help students succeed. Hear how career connected learning programs – internships, skills classes, apprenticeships, mentorships and volunteering – make a difference for our children.
The Fremont Chamber has scheduled three informative speakers:
- Caroline King, C.E.O. of Washington STEM – a very successful non-profit that identifies and fosters innovative STEM programs and partnerships
- Rebecca Gold, of Adobe, will discuss the ‘Girls That Code’ program
- Dan Golosman, Principal of the Seattle Public Schools Skills Center, will share information on resources they provide for engaging area businesses in career and technical education programs
This meeting will provide opportunities for networking and sharing on your business or non-profit, and learning how we can all connect and engage. Pre-registration is requested, and can be done on-line (click here.) Cost for the meeting is $25, and can be paid at the door.
