On Thursday, January 24th, from 1p – 3:30p, the Wallingford Community Senior Center will host a Mix & Match Art Class – focused on the use of pastels.

For those curious about the use of soft pastels, or oil pastels, and finding out the difference, this is a whirlwind afternoon of experimentation and fun.  Experience the soft, velvety texture and delicate richness of soft pastels, and the bright, highly saturated colors, buttery feel and smooth application of oil pastels.  Learn basic techniques using these two fabulous mediums, and then create a small artwork with each of the materials.

The cost for this short workshop is $15 for the public, or $10 for WCSC members, and includes supplies.  To join in this creative and supportive afternoon, with artist Cynthia Payne, register now (click here) to save your space for this creative opportunity – and be prepared to get messy!
