The Fremont Street Fair returns on June 22nd & 23rd, offering two different days of festivities and entertainments. Stop by on Saturday, to see the Fremont Arts Council Solstice Parade (at 1p,) and flow with the crowds, full of excitement and energy, through the 300+ vendor booths and food eateries. See and be seen with thousands of others, all out for a good time, and a great day at the Center of the Universe!
On Sunday, relax and stroll, getting a good look at everything and everyone in a much more mellow mood. This is the best day to see the Seattle Art Car Blowout, and the approximately 60 decorated vehicles from around the U.S. and Canada. At 2:30p, the Dog Parade – a benefit for COLA – will march through the Fairgrounds, led by the Blue Thunder drumline, with doggie costumes encouraged but not required. The Fair is also a foodie playground, and with shorter lines on Sunday, it’s a better time for sampling, plus Sunday is the best time to really enjoy the retailers and explore the restaurants that inhabit Fremont all year long!
Can’t decide? Check the Fremont Street Fair website (click here) to see the line-up of live music performances scheduled, and let your taste in entertainment be your guide.
Also, volunteers are still needed to help run the Fremont Fair, and benefits are still available to entice those interested in being right in the thick of the fun! Click here to learn more, and register as a volunteer.
