June is Fremont Month, and what better end to a month of celebrating a community of creativity than with a celebration of a talented artist and performer.
On Sunday, June 30th, from 5p to 8p, the Down Under Gallery (downstairs at 465 N 36th St, in the Fremocentrist.com office) will host a Reception for Duo Rêves, a painter, aerialist, actor, chandler, and filmmaker. Exactly one half of the team of Duo Reves, Eric Esteb has made a life out of performance art.
Recently relocated to rural Washington, to a magical wooded haven, Esteb has found inspiration to expand his creative focus into the visual arts. Making use of state-of-the-art technologies interwoven with techniques of the Old Masters, Esteb has created a series of paintings entitled ‘Dualities’, juxtaposing good and evil, nature and artifice, new and old, etc.
Drop in between 5p – 8p on Sunday, June 30th, to see these intriguingly fresh paintings, and meet the artist, to finish Fremont Month with a bit more creative expression. In addition, the Down Under also has hand-blown glass by Rodman Gilder Miller, a few Moisture Festival photos by Michelle Bates, and pieces from ‘Scenes From The Sidewalk’ by Adrian Laney.
