Our community supply of blood is running low, and donors – or those interested in becoming donors – are desperately needed to give now. Our community needs you!
In summer, blood donations dip low with so many regular donors on vacation – and incidents of trauma increase. It is vital that Bloodworks NW has a strong supply of blood in reserve, to provide life to accident victims and those fighting terminal illnesses.
For those eligible to give (click here to find out about eligibility,) the Bloodworks NW Bloodmobile will be out in North Seattle this weekend:
- Friday, July 12th from 10a – 4p at the Seattle City Light North Service Center (1300 N 97th)
- Friday, July 12th from 9a – 3p at Seattle Pacific University (3307 – 3rd Ave W) click here for advance registration
- Sunday, July 14th from 9a – 3p at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church (4811 Wallingford Ave N)
- Monday, July 15th from 4:30p – 7p at Ballard First Lutheran Church (2006 NW 65th St)
A blood drive will also take place at Google Fremont on July 24th and July 25th, from 10a – 4p, with advance registration available on-line (click here.)
If you are eligible, please consider giving now. A donation of whole blood takes only about an hour, and it can save a life.
Also, please spread the word, to remind other donors of opportunities to restore our blood reserves. It takes 800 donors a day to sustain the blood supply for patients in our community. Please give!!
