On Saturday, July 27th, at 3p, volunteers are needed to help clean-up the area used for building the incredible floats and fanfare that decorated the 2019 Fremont Solstice Parade. In order to build goodwill and karmic currency, the Fremont Arts Council wants to get the area they used for building the parade spic-n-span before turning it over the next user – can you help?
The Fremont Solstice Parade this year brought hundreds of gorgeous costumes and creative messages to our streets. The Parade is always a crowd pleaser and a great opportunity for our community to show off the power of sweat equity and imagination. In order to build this magnificent and legendary display, 100s of volunteers are needed – both at the start and here at the end.
On July 27th, come lend a hand to the final clean-up, starting at 3p at 3623 Leary Way NW (at Leary Way & NW 39th St – the former Fleur de Lis site) and stick around after for a potluck BBQ with beverages and fellowship – and a chance to share about your Solstice Parade experience. Also, find out about the next Fremont Arts Council extravagant events, with Luminata Lantern Walk planning and workshops scheduling already begun!
