Fremont Library Closed Until September 7th

Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library System, August 2010 Photo by K. Lindsay

Please remember, all Seattle Public Libraries will be closed on furlough from August 29 – September 6th, including the Fremont Branch.  This means all services and programs of the Seattle Public Library system, including their electronic catalogue, will be inaccessible during this time.

Most importantly, DO NOT LEAVE LIBRARY MATERIALS OUTSIDE THE LIBRARY!  No library materials will be due for return through the furlough, all book drops will be closed – and any materials left outside the Fremont Library can be stolen or damaged by weather.  For the benefit of all library patrons, retain any outstanding library materials and return them on September 7, or after.

In an effort to balance their budget, the Seattle Public Library administration has chosen to close the libraries for this week.  More details on the furlough last year can be read in the Fremocentrist.com archives.
