On Friday, September 27th, at 8p, ‘The Panel Jumper LIVE’ returns to West of Lenin for another installment of this unique and entertaining comic book-themed cabaret event. Chapter VIII will celebrate the magic of sequential storytelling with live performances by geek entertainers, comic book artists, and all those who honor this nerdly tradition.
This eighth chapter of The Panel Jumper LIVE will leave you giddy and inspired by all the comic culture has to offer. For the very special industry guest, The Panel Jumper will welcome award-winning Native American artist and writer Jeffrey Veregge. The evening will also include a screening of ‘Say It Loud’, a special, well-researched piece about the history and inspiration of Black superheroes in American comic books.
In addition, the audience will be serenaded by singer/songwriter Kathryn Farrell, on her love of sky-watching, illuminating the cosmos and rocking the very spheres. Lyam White will howl down the moon with an excerpt from his astounding solo piece, ‘American Wulver.’ Playwright Anthea Carns will share her all-new short piece crafted to tickle and regale us into the final frontier. Finally, the ethereal beauty and the outrageous elegance of burlesque artist Vixen Valentine will help the audience transcend!
Tickets can be purchased for $15 (attendees must be 18+) and it is recommended that they be acquired in advance through Brown Paper Tickets (click here) – as West of Lenin will fill up! You will not want to miss out on this unique and creative celebration of an under-appreciated art form!
