This Friday, October 4th, from 6p – 9p, the Fremont Art Walk returns, now risking dark and dreary rain. That is no excuse to miss this opportunity to explore art venues around the Center of the Universe, and fill your soul with creative culture – for free!!
For October, there will be plenty of art to take in, and venues to visit. Check the Fremont First Friday Art Walk website (click here,) to get a complete list of venues but don’t miss out on:
- Portage Bay Goods – See art by Trilby Hainstock of Oliotto Handmade, known for her art on the series of Seattle and Washington State souveniers carried at PBG. Come see what else Hainstock can do, while enjoying a snack, beverage or the hundreds of other creative items offers at the Procrastinator’s gift shop!
- Down Under Gallery – Get a dose of summer colors and bright flowers with the Vibrant Poppy photo art of Sarah Weathers! Meet Weathers, and check out her beautiful images, in the creative space of Down Under. In addition to the photos, Weathers has table art, magnets, afghans, hats & scarves and pet blankets on-display, and all for sale at 25% off during FFF. Stop by the gallery for this glimpse of the colorful contrasts of the flowers, along with handblown glass by Rodman Miller, and photos by Michelle Bates and Adrian Laney.
- Frame Up Studios – One of the most prolific Pacific Northwest artists, Liz Neuman offers up beautiful prints that show the animals of our environment in intriguing new ways. See geese flying in unison, an owl perched on a tree branch, an emphatic woodpecker, and more.
The Fremont First Friday Art Walk is a great way to explore the neighborhood, or just stop by on your way to something else! Get a full evening of art, or just a chance to see some new spaces.
