On Saturday, October 12th, at 6:30p, at Phinney Books, join Fremonster Caroline Sayre and others for a non-partisan, community gathering; a ‘Civic Saturday’ for inspiration, and encouraging connection and reflection, in a new tradition.
Come together for readings and poetry, group song, a sharing of thoughts and ideas, and a civic sermon read by Sayre. The topic for this gathering is ‘Fremont, After The Vote, Practicing Hope’. At a time of extensive neighborhood change, with plenty of anxiety and contradiction, the moment calls for a new approach to creating and maintaining an active citizenry.
You are invited to share in the conversation, and call to join the American civic religion. This is a free gathering, but you can register to attend on EventBrite (click here,) and learn more about this unique opportunity.
