Last week, Bold Hat Productions announced final dates for three events they produce in Fremont.  Mark your calendars for:

  •  Hop Scotch Spring Beer & Scotch Festival – March 30 & 31st at Fremont Studios

This premier beer, Scotch, wine and spirits tasting event will benefit the Seattle International Film Festival.  For more info visit the Hop Scotch website.

  •  Fremont Oktoberfest – September 21 – 23 at Phinney Avenue N & N 35th St

A Seattle fall tradition, this three-day festival benefits the work of the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, and features live music, Dogtoberfest, a Kids Area, a 5K run and the Texas Chainsaw Pumpkin Carving spectacular – oh, and lots and lots of beer!  Voted by USA Today, Orbitz.com and Bing.com as one of the top places to toast Oktoberfest, find out more on the website.

The 41st Annual Fremont Fair community celebration is expected to draw 100,000 guests (even if the weather fails to cooperate, as it didn’t the past two years.)  Presented by the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the Fair offers local live music, arts and crafts shopping, food and drinks, and artistic expression for the enjoyment of Fremonsters young and old.  Learn more at the Fremont Fair website.

The Fremont Arts Council (FAC) Solstice Parade has always been held in conjunction with the Fair.  Over the last few months, the FAC Board and membership have discussed moving the parade one weekend later – since the Solstice takes place on Wednesday.  As of Monday, November 14th, Fremocentrist.com has had no response to requests to the FAC for confirmation that the parade will be held on June 16th, 2012.

Stay tuned throughout 2012 to hear more about these, and other events, celebrating Fremont, fun and fellowship!
