On Wednesday, February 15th, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly general membership meeting, this time with Paul Nicely of Eaton Vance. He will provide information on how politics affects taxes. Expect a lively discussion about how, as business owners/managers, Chamber members can be affected by changes to our tax structure – as well as plenty of time to meet, greet and network before and after the presentation.
The meeting, which starts at 8a, will be held at Costas Opa Restaurant – and will feature a delicious breakfast. The cost is $15 per person, and an R.S.V.P. is required to attend.
On Thursday, February 16th, at 10a, the Fremont Chamber will host a special transportation meeting, at History House. This free, open-to-the-public discussion will feature representatives from King County METRO and the City of Seattle Office Of Economic Development(OED.)
Ashley DeForest will present proposed September 2012 route changes for Metro services, with a focus on the Fremont area. This will be a good time to hear about the current slate of changes, and give feedback to continue to shape routes that serve riders best.
Andres Mantilla, of the OED, will also make a presentation – on the 2011 Neighborhood Business District Intercept Study.
Both meetings will allow for great discussions, and the sharing of valuable information. To find out more about them, or about the Fremont Chamber, contact Executive Director Jessica Vets at director@fremont.com or 206/632-1500.
