The City of Seattle Waste Management team has initiated the Think Green Recycling Challenge, a competition among trash collection areas. They want to encourage more recycling and less waste.
Details about the competition – and progress by our region – can be seen on-line. At this time our region is running behind – which is not like us! (And Wallingford is winning!) If our region wins, it would mean $50,000 to spend on community improvements including more public recycling cans, flower baskets, benches, bike racks, etc.
