On Friday, February 24th, Catholic Housing Services (CHS) will move closer to building a 71-unit affordable housing building.  Abatement work has been underway, and should finish by the 24th.  Once completed, it will be safe for contractors to demolish the structure of the once infamous Thunderbird Motel.

On the morning of February 24th, representatives from CHS and the community will gather to celebrate the start of demolition and construction of housing for the homeless.  Also, at that time, CHS will officially remove the Thunderbird portion of the motel sign for historic preservation.
