This Weekend, Cheer On The First-Ever Universe Classic Wiffle Ball Tournament

Come cheer the pagentry, and the expected chaos, of the first-ever Universe Classic Wiffle Ball Tournament Photo of Adobe League Wiffle Ball play by Cornicello Photography

On Saturday & Sunday, September 8th & 9th, Fremont will host the first-ever Universe Classic Wiffle Ball Tournament on the Upper Playfields at B.F. Day Elementary School.  Come see which team will emerge triumphant as the champions of the Center of the Universe – and be on-hand to cheer all the teams to victory, or at least to the nearest watering hole!

Registration has closed for teams wanting to play in this supreme exhibition of athletic prowess, and tongue-in-cheek competition, but spectators and spirited sideline caterwaulers are still needed!

Come see the pageantry and pomp of the opening ceremonies on Saturday morning starting at 9a.  Stay to see how the teams shake out – and if the six Adobe teams will dominate the fields – until 6p.  Return on Sunday for more games – starting at 10a – and the championship playoffs, starting at approximately 4p.

All this great energy and activity goes to raise money for improvements to the B.F. Day Elementary School playground.  The tournament has been produced, for the benefit of all, by the Fremont Chamber of Commerce.  Questions can be directed to director@fremont.com or 206/632-1500.

And come out this weekend to the Upper Uppers to cheer, Cheer, CHEER!
