On Friday, October 5th, starting at 6p, a celebration of the opening of the (in)famous Moulin Rouge cabaret (on October 6th, 1889) will take place at Hale’s Palladium with the ‘Moulin To Moisture Festival Fundraising Party & Auction.’ Come celebrate the rich history of vaudeville and varieté, from the legendary Parisian cabaret to the soon-to-be-legendary, Fremont’s own Moisture Festival.
This whimsical and raucous evening will feature live music and comedy/varieté performances, a not-so-silent auction, a side-splitting live auction, dancing, delicious hors d’oeuvres and drinks, and a the sale of $5 raffle tickets for the opportunity to win a prize pack worth hundreds! The doors will open, along with the silent auction, at 6p. The silent auction will close at 7:45p, with the live auction to start at 8p, and the show begins at 9p.
