Review Potential Plans For Woodland Park Play Area Renovation

A second community meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 3rd, from 7p – 9p, on the renovation of the Woodland Park play area.  The Seattle Parks & Recreation will host a meeting at the Phinney Neighborhood Association in Room 1, inviting feedback on the schematic designs for the park.

The renovation project will include installation of new play equipment, and improvements to the site and access.  Options for the design were developed based on input from a first community meeting held in July 2012.  The play area as it exists will remain open through summer 2013, with construction proposed to begin in late autumn of that year.

The Woodland Park play area, located at 1000 N 59th St, sits just north of the Woodland Park Zoo.  For more information on the renovation project, and to see notes from the July 2012 meeting, see the playground website, or contact Project Planner Pam Kliment at 206/684-7047 or Pamela.kliment@seattle.gov
