The original work, ‘Forbidden Fruit’, by Jeff ‘Weirdo’ Jacobson, is for sale by auction for a few more days only. Proceeds from the auction of this work, painted live during the grand opening celebrations at the new evo store at 3500 Stone Way N, will benefit The Service Board.
Legendary Seattle-based artist, Jeff “Weirdo” Jacobson, famous for his amazing spray painted murals, in collaboration with Spacecraft Collective, has generously created and donated a ‘Weirdo’ original piece to support a very important cause. Forbidden Fruit is an evo-exclusive original painting, fully spray painted on a plywood canvas and measures 8′ X 6′. The painting can currently be seen, in person, at the new evo Seattle store.
Other ‘Weirdo’ pieces include a city block mural on 2nd Ave in Pioneer Square. In addition to his larger than life spray-paint murals, Jacobson is also known for his imaginative gallery work. Jacobson’s work often reflects his vision of a changing world, with an undertone of darkness balanced by a creative benevolent force. His work skillfully juxtaposes hyper-realistic images with otherworldly creations that inspire you question your own reality.
‘Forbidden Fruit’ will be auctioned, with 100% of the proceeds going to benefit The Service Board, a mentoring program for teens. TSB assists teens as they conquer personal and cultural challenges through public service and outdoor adventure. The TSB vision instills in high school-age youth a deep sense of life purpose based on an ethic of public service and a conviction in their abilities to shape the future.
The evo company explores the collaboration between culture and sport, and through this auction, it joins art and service. Please consider placing a bid on ‘Forbidden Fruit’, and helping evo help The Service Board. The auction ends Monday, Nov 19th.
