The City of Seattle 19th Annual Neighbor Appreciation Day will take place this Saturday, February 9th. This special day provides opportunities to reach out to neighbors, create new friends, and express thanks to those who make your neighborhood a great place to live. Community groups, businesses and residents across Seattle will join together with activities to celebrate.
Visit City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods website to learn about ways to participate, or check out these ideas:
- Plan an activity such as a block party, potluck, or work party.
- Attend a community activity already planned – and find them on the events calendar, including activities at area fire stations, and Seattle Parks.
- Send Neighbor Appreciation Day e-cards to favorite neighbors, from a selection of cards featuring art work by past winners of the Student Art Contest.
- Share a story, or two, about favorite neighbors on the City Of Seattle website.
Join your neighbors in celebrating what makes Seattle great – our neighbors!
