On Tuesday, April 23rd, ‘World Book Night’, the Seattle Public Library will serve as a book pick-up site for 25,000 volunteer book givers. That night, the volunteers will give away 20 copies of a specially-printed, not-for-resale U.S. edition of a book they have read and loved – to people who rarely, or never, read.
The books were chosen from a list of 30 titles selected by a panel of librarians and booksellers. World Book Night is a campaign to give away thousands of free paperback books to spread the love of reading to those with limited access to printed books.
