The Seattle Blind Café – the live music and sensory tasting experience – returns to Fremont on April 25th, 26th & 27th for three select seatings at Fremont Baptist Church. This unique evening allows attendees to dine with others, in the pitch dark, just as their blind wait staff do every day!
The vegetarian meal contains ingredients from local farms, prepared by a local chef. The whole experience is accompanied by a concert of original music by the band Rosh & One Eye Glass Broken. The evening will conclude with a question & answer discussion between attendees and the blind wait staff.
Open your heart and mind, and explore the darkness, without the distraction of visual conditioning – or your cell phone. The darkness allows attendees to go deeply inside themselves, while they work with others during a meal served family style.
Tickets cost $55 – 95, on a sliding scale, and can only be purchased in advance through Brown Paper Tickets. Tickets include a light meal, original music, and an opportunity at an experience you will never forget. Please, don’t be bashful. Come and find out about what it means to forget social conventions and engage all your senses…
