This month the Fremont First Friday Art Walk offers plenty of bold, bright, creative and colorful art, art venues and artists. Take a stroll on Friday, May 3rd, from 6p – 9p, and find something interesting, intriguing and/or innovative to see – and talk about.
At Portage Bay Goods, find the art of Narboo! These drawings of colorful, cartoon-like characters come from the mind of Brandon Baker. “My goal as an artist is to bring a smile to your face,” he wrote. This entirely suits the venue, as the gift shop for the ‘thoughtful procrastinator’ always has dozens of items to entertain.
Across the street, find the paintings of Nikki Frumkin on display at Bellefleur Lingerie. Originally from New York, Frumkin now lives in Seattle but has had her work exhibited in Connecticut, Washington, Florida, Brazil and Switzerland – and now amidst the fine lace of Bellefleur!
This month also find:
- Imaginative and joyful works by Marta Konstacky at ArtFX Gallery
- Original art, and gift cards, displaying Green Lake scenes by Ann Norton at Fremont Health Club
- Photos by Melissa Kagerer at Atlas Clothing
- Meditations on wood by Gail Howard at Johnston Architects
- Paintings by self-taught artist Dan Mohr at the evo Timesinfinity Gallery
- Collage work, using reused materials, by Annsin Kousin at Pel’Meni Dumpling Tzar
