Coming to West of Lenin: ‘The Horrible Lamb’, A Blasphemous Musical about the Miracle of Entitlement

This month, Friday & Saturday nights, see the Sauer Bauer Production of ‘The Horrible Lamb’ at Fremont’s own West of Lenin theater.  This musical, written by Tiffany Louquet and directed by Dirk Hunter, sold out during the 2012 Seattle Fringe Festival – and has now come to Fremont for a limited three-week run.

The story of ‘The Horrible Lamb’ centers on Lyle Candell, thirty-five years into his perplexingly normal life, but confident that he’s an exceptional person.  So where the hell are his fame and fortune?  When Candell discovers that his unexceptional childhood nemesis has achieved Christian superstardom as the revered televangelist Hal O’Luyah, he is spurred to action by the cosmic injustice.  As he sets out to claim his deserved share of the pulpit, Candell gets help from his status-seeking girlfriend and some mischievous guardian angels, and finds success is just a sin or two away once he dedicates his life to ‘Jaaayssussssss!’

Tickets for this show – performances take place June 14th – 29th at 8p – can be purchased through Brown Paper Tickets for just $12.
