On Tuesday, July 9th, from 6p – 8p, at the Lake Washington Rowing Club, a public meeting will be held on the North Transfer Station rebuild.
The North Transfer Station project team has been working with community stakeholders (from Fremont and Wallingford) on a public planning process since 2008. The goal is to build a more modern, efficient facility for disposal of garbage, recyclables, and food & yard waste when looking at the growing needs of Seattle.
The design of the new transfer station has been drawn up, and representatives from Seattle Public Utilities and the North Transfer Station project team would be at this public meeting to inform everyone about the current status of the design process.
