Next Saturday, August 3rd, starting at 3p, the latest installment in the Fremont Fireside Chat will take a stroll – ‘carry a torch’ – and use 3D visual aids to bring to life the dynamic development of Fremont’s waterfront, public art and the central retail core.

Starting at History House, this free, one-hour presentation will stroll along the waterfront, among art and by the heart of the Fremont commercial district and through 150 years of history.  Kirby Lindsay, a local expert in all things Fremont, will take you up-close-and-friendly with the Center of the Universe, and its fascinating stories – including what happened to Costas.

Take a slow, leisurely lap around a corner of the neighborhood, learn something, then join in a lemonade-and-cookie reception in the covered Sculpture Garden at History House.  Unfortunately, this walk is not ADA accessible due to a set of stairs on the route.
