This Friday, August 2nd, the Fremont First Friday Art Walk (from 6p – 9p) will celebrate summer – and art! Come down and see all the amazing venues, and the artists on-display all over the neighborhood.
The show at Art F/X is called ‘For Granted’ and brings back works by Linh Nguyen. Linh uses scenes of nature to portray human experiences, in very moody, dreamlike ways. The landscapes and seasons that she paints serve as reminders that both the best and the worst of our experience are temporary. Meet her during the Artist’s Reception this Friday.
At Portage Bay Goods, enjoy the fatally cute and adorably dangerous creations of Kelice Penney, and her Careful It Bites plushies. Penney peddles her yetis, really grumpy flowers and other strange creatures of mythology and imagination in Pike Place Market – but she will be in Fremont and at PBG for the month of August!
Frame-Up Studios has extended the exhibit of metal assemblage artist Amber Rothrock, after the unprecedented acclaim that met her July show. See the unique frames by one of America’s most visionary artists.
Also, for the August Art Walk, come take part in the first-ever Fremont Chalk-A-Thon from Noon – 9p. Free street chalk will be available at FFF venues and assorted other stations around the Center of the Universe, for the use of all aspiring artists among us.
Help decorate Fremont’s sidewalks – let’s create some art together! The Fremont First Friday Art Walk will be this Friday, August 2nd, from 6p – 9p. It promises to be one of the most outrageous ever so do not miss it…and check back with the FFF website for the latest in which venues to visit!
