Neighborhood Night Out On August 6th

On Tuesday, August 6th, celebrate the 29th Annual Night Out Against Crime with the City of Seattle, the Seattle Police Department (SPD) and your neighbors!

 

In 2012, over 1,366 events were held on this night bringing neighbors out to meet, greet and share their experiences.  Check the SPD website for a list of events planned by your neighbors for your area.  A few of those listed include:

  • Block Party on the 400 block of NW 42nd St
  • Community Night Out at 4215 – 1st Ave NW
  • A Fremont! party at 520 N 45th St
  • N 41st St Block Party at 119 N 41st, which has a grill for meat/veggie items, bring a side dish.
  • Night Out at 4200 block of 2nd Ave NW
  • Ross/Frelard potluck/BBQ on NW 45th St, between 4th & 5th Avenues NW

  • Bowdoin Neighbors Night Out in the grassy lot on Bowdoin Pl, between Phinney & Dayton Aves N, for friends, food and fun – games and cute dogs encouraged
  • Fremont Peaked Blocked Party at 4400 block of Greenwood Ave N

Even if you don’t choose to celebrate, please take care as you travel around the ‘hood – or the City.  Many side streets will be blocked off as communities come together and share the joy of the summer season!
